Abstract :
This paper considers the optimization problem of biological systems represented by the S-system formalism under uncertainty. Two iterative IOM strategies, the standard iterative IOM method and modified iterative IOM approach are compared for a tryptophan biosynthesis process under experimental uncertainty of the kinetic orders in S-system. The modified iterative IOM approach is proven to be very attractive. Its ability to deal with measurement error is also shown.
