  • Abstract
    Eigenvalue assignment method based on standard characteristic polynomial is proposed in order to resolve the uncertainty of ideal eigenvalue choice in modern control theory and the difficultly in engineering implementation of modern control system design methods. Mathematical solving process of the method is given. There is only one design parameter which is easy to calculate. We can choose the parameter according to system responding time or tuning time. Control system of an aircraft was designed and simulated by using proposed method. Simulation results show that the method is capable of achieving desire control quality, and designing procedure is simple. Furthermore, robustness of the control system is good.
