Abstract
Warehouse logistics is the management of the flow of resources between the origin and the final points in order to meet production and shipment requirements and to satisfy customers demand (both internal and external). The logistics of physical items involves the integration of intelligent information management, material handling, transportation and warehousing, to meet time, quality and place requirements. This paper discusses the automatic management of warehouse logistics from the user perspective, in particular, problems and pitfalls of the management of production flows using Automatic Guided Vehicle is here presented, in the view of achieving smart solutions to those problems in the framework of European Project PAN-ROBOTS.
