Abstract :
Automobile engine test stand uses electric eddy current machine to simulate road running mode on automobile engine loading. The VB-based control software of the automobile engine test stand can achieve functionalities including load control, data acquisition and having the measurement data stored in the Access database so as to facilitate data query and the dynamic display of the power waveform. The data communication is realized by serial communication between measurement node and host computer. The software´s friendly interface, easy usage has played an important role in analysis of the engine´s power dynamic characteristics. The design and implementation method of the software is specified in the paper.
