Abstract
In this paper, model reference adaptive control (MRAC) with adjustable reference model parameters is presented. The adjustable MRAC can force the controlled plant to follow as closely as possible a desired reference model whose parameters can be adjusted online through fuzzy logic easily and properly, ensuring that the error between the outputs of the real system and the reference model approaches zero. This control design is applied to a synchronous machine to control its speed. The effectiveness of the proposed design is confirmed through numerical simulation.
