Abstract
In this paper we propose several new methods in order to control the speed regulation of a DC motor. These methods are fuzzy auto tuning, gas-based PID controller, gas-based fuzzy PID controller and fuzzy PID controller using neural network. All the control strategies utilize the output speed error and its derivative as feedback damping signals.
