Abstract
This paper presents a new waveguide power sensor calibration system, which incorporates a vector network analyzer (HP 8510c). The system was developed and tested at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), UK. It is capable of accounting for different impedance mismatch uncertainty at the calibration test port. By using this system, the overall process of power sensor calibration uncertainty as well as the overall calibration time is reduced. This will enable any suitably equipped laboratory to carry out the work of waveguide power sensor calibration, and trace it back to a reference LAB, thus improving the efficiency.
