Abstract
Designing a power distribution system requires consideration of many different parameters such as electrical and mechanical characteristics, cost, and availability of materials. This paper discusses the technical requirements for the design, performance evaluation, installation, materials, and cooling system of a DC distribution system design. Sample designs for an air cooled and a water cooled systems are used to illustrate the design process
