  • Abstract
Based on the multi-loop method, a mathematical model for the salient-pole synchronous machine is established. The transient and steady-state behavior of the machine with internal faults is simulated through the model, and it is conformable with the experiment result. According to the simulation results, the sensitivities of different protection schemes are calculated under some typical kinds of internal faults. It is found that the transient sensitivity is higher than the corresponding steady-state sensitivity under the same condition
