Abstract :
For the first time the partial-capacitance and conformal mapping techniques are applied for modeling of the open multiconductor microstrip lines of finite thickness. To build new model, the concept of magnetic slits is introduced, which allows the cross-section multiple connected region to reduce into the simple connected region. The obtained polygonal region is conformal mapped by analytical Schwarz-Christoffel transformation, which is implemented in the form of computer numerical procedures. New technique is realized in MATLAB and has high computationally effectiveness, accuracy sufficient for practice, and allows easy visualization of the electric field distribution.
