  • Abstract
    A new algorithm for ECG (electrocardiogram) signal compression based on local extreme extraction, adaptive hysteretic filtering and cubic interpolation is presented. The efficiency of the algorithm is evaluated using a MLP classifier whose inputs were normal and pathological (right and left bundle branch block) classes of original and reconstructed heartbeats respectively
