  • Abstract
A new experimental circuit arrangement for a thermal anemometer using a microcontroller as a control unit is described. The device uses a boost-configured self-heated thermistor as a flow detection sensor. Two different operating modes are presented: a sigma-delta constant temperature operating mode and a transient-temperature based operating mode. Both modes are compared and experimental results showing the performance in both cases are presented.
