  • Abstract
ADSL service has been popularized to people thanks to the boom of high-speed Internet access services. ADSL service providers should install the ADSL service to customers as quickly as possible to meet the requirement for rapid provisioning according to the explosive growth of number of subscribers. The ADSL service contains different management domains-subscriber loop, authentication, static IP address, network access server and ATM transfer network. Moreover, the ADSL service has variability to add some values to create new services from the basic service such as reducing the download speed for more economic services, giving static IP addresses and so on. And all the things mentioned above are a burden to ADSL service providers for rapid provisioning with harmonizing their related organizations or systems. The legacy scheme which utilizes only the order entering system and has manuscript works in many parts of whole workflows can´t afford to maintain this large scale and complicated service provisioning environment. So in this paper, we propose an automatic service provisioning system based on workflow management for the multi-management domain service environment and introduce the implemented system-iCOMS-running in KT´s ADSL service provision field.
