  • Abstract
    Design methodologies such as multidisciplinary design optimisation and robust design often involve variation of object´s shape and assessment of the resulting performance. This paper presents methodology to incorporate shape variability in the optimisation process. Results of the shape optimisation of the gas-turbine disc of the aircraft engine show higher levels of product quality and reliability achieved
