Abstract :
The aim of the paper is to present FADO - a new CAD tool based on fuzzy logic to automate the design optimization of analog modules. Our tool uses fuzzy sytems or fuzzy sets in all the stages involved in the optimization process. The optimization problem formulation is accomplished in a flexible manner using fuzzy sets to define fuzzy optimization objectives. The optimization engine uses multiple search path and a fuzzy system to compute the coefficients to modify the design parameter in each iteration. In order to reduce the time spent for circuit performance evaluation, we use fuzzy system to model each circuit performance. After introducing our design tool we present the numerical result obtained in designing two CMOS operational amplifier and a common emitter stage
