Abstract :
Governing equations for 3-D compressible flow are reviewed and then are cast into the framework of a variational statement by Gao-lian Liu´s inverse method. Starting from an unknown function, a trial-generalized functional has been identified step by step . All field equations are cast into stationary conditions of the obtained functional, leading to much convenience in incorporating analytical and numerical approaches.
