Abstract :
An optical instrument for the measurement of a steam turbine palette radial dimension was successfully designed and realized. This system is very useful for on-line monitoring during turbine correction of the external palette radial length with high accuracy. The developed instrument showed a resulting accuracy of 3 mum over a measurement range of 0.3 mm.
