Abstract :
The paper considers the position tracking problem of a voltage-controlled magnetic levitation system. It is well known that the control problem is quite complicated and challenging duo to inherent nonlinearities associated with the electromechanical dynamics. A sliding mode control is employed for controlling the system. The proposed controller exhibits satisfactory robustness in response to parameter uncertainties. Simulation results reveal the effectiveness of the proposed robust controller.
