Abstract
An analysis is performed for the ESD (electrostatic discharge) model of the human body which consists of multiple charged sources. Typical geometries, which simulate the effect of charge generated by the triboelectrification of both footwear and clothing, are considered. Capacitance coefficients were measured for a typical two-body system consisting of experimental models of the human body with two charged sources, and the electronic system under test. The characteristics of the ESD event were calculated and compared with the results obtained for a simplified two-body model. The results demonstrate the relative effect of the charged sources, a ground plane, and the discharge geometry
