Abstract :
Results of designing and simulating a multibeam klystrode for powering up of linear accelerators are presented. Because of a special design of the input cavity and operation in class C, the tube has a CW output power of 100 kW, efficiency of 80%, and a 30 dB gain at the frequency of 1300 MHz and 24 kV power supply voltage.
