Abstract
Montan wax is unstable because of unsaturated link. Sulfuric acid is selected to saturate montan wax, and this would exploit its application. These were researched that the influence of the reaction time, reaction temperature and sulphuric acid concentration on montan wax, and the functional groups of waxes modified in different condition by FTIR. The results indicate that, the trend of recovery rate of montan wax is linearly reduced with the reaction time, reaction temperature and the sulphuric acid concentration. Moreover, this modification can benefit for the introduction of aromatic, aliphatic and olefins to montan wax with the increasing of the reaction time, reaction temperature and sulphuric acid concentration.
