Abstract :
This study investigates the effect of polarization on the dielectric measurements of pesticide. Dispersive Fourier Transform Spectroscopy was utilized to measure the absorption coefficient and refractive index from 180 to 420 GHz. Variations in the results due to polarization and birefringence were investigated by calculating the average value, standard deviation and percentage variations in dielectric data. Noticeable variations in the absorption coefficient data have been observed. The sinusoidal relationship between the dielectric properties and the rotation angle confirms the existence of birefringence effect.
