Abstract
This work studies the electric and magnetic field and specific absorption rate within the human head due to radiation emitted by cellular radio base stations antennae. The Method of Moments is used for numerical evaluation of electric and magnetic field integral equations associated with electromagnetic scattering by bodies of revolution. The representation of the human head is performed using a layered model consisting of five homogeneous layers. The analyses were performed using 850 and 1800 MHz. The results obtained are compared with the limits established by Brazilian standards.
