  • Abstract
A fertilizer plant has limited capacity due to bottlenecks. In addition, there are unsuitable environmental vapor releases, and profit margin is less than desired. A unique process optimization methodology is used to examine the process in order to identify changes that can increase capacity and improve profits. In a three-day analysis, 86 process change ideas were identified. One of the best ideas allowed the shutdown of a package boiler via the installation of variable frequency electric motor
