Abstract :
The proposed investigation seeks to elaborate on the notion that the metaphor of skin(s), as assumed by contemporary digital design, have produced a conjuncture where the historical, the technical and discursive logics ordering modern tectonics, has been transcended, a condition that I will refer to as metatectonics. In addition to historiographic analysis of such condition, the project seeks to define a conceptual design project that will serve as case study to strategize the theory of meta-tectonics.
