Abstract :
The author describe the actual state and the trend of diesel engine, as well as its predominance and characteristic comparing to gasoline engine. The acceleration signal of body vibration of 4135G diesel engine under different working condition are analyzed with symbol time series analysis. Forward-time and reverse-time symbol-sequence histograms are drawn and symbol statistics such as Shannon entropy and Euclidean norm are calculated by using symbolic time series analyzed method and by MATLAB, combining with the data of the acceleration signal of body vibration of 4135G diesel engine under different working condition, consequently we can discriminate the failure of 4135G diesel engine
