Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) transmission scheme using Pre-Rake filters, as well as Post-Rake filters. The Pre-Rake filter can achieve Rake diversity effect without increasing the complexity of the receiver. The reception performance of the proposed MIMO transmission scheme is evaluated. As the result, it was confirmed that the MMSEC (Minimum Mean Squared Error Combining) scheme was effective as the scheme of path combining under MIMO transmission that transmits several different symbols at the same time. In addition, it was shown that the 2 times 2 MIMO transmission system that uses 4times4 Pre/Post-Rake filters had the good performance because not only diversity effect by multiple reception antennas but also diversity effect by Pre/Post-Rake processing were achieved.
