Abstract
Research and development results of quick-operating controlled ferrite attenuator of a microwave band are reported. The device is realized on the basis of a plane of polarization rotator and provides controlled attenuation up to 20 dB without a phase shift change. The description of a developed device construction is shown, variants of design are analyzed. Calculation and optimization of characteristics are based on the high-level electrodynamics models, which include both in homogenous waveguide eigenwaves evaluation and scattering problem solution.
