Abstract
A description is given of quality assurance and validation in the development of the C-DOT DSS, a family of digital switching systems for local, tandem, trunk, and mixed applications. The planning, methodology, and tools employed under the various heads, in particular, the hardware unit and subsystem validation, integration testing, system functional testing and system performance evaluation, are discussed. The strategy will enable C-DOT DSS to be accepted into the network in a rather short time frame
