Abstract :
Calculations of the capacity of the INSAT II transponders (C and Ku frequency bands) for VSATs designed for interactive data network applications are presented. A variety of multi-access protocols for different network performance objectives, and traffic delay parameters are taken into consideration. These typical capacities that can be achieved with C and Ku band transponders are equally applicable to other similar domestic satellite networks
