Abstract :
Over one century since air-conditioner was invented, people have been using the traditional means of air-conditioning. With the industrialization of human society and improvement of living quality, air-conditioner has been widely used in people´s life but at the same time, created a series of problems, for example, waste of energy, air-condition symptoms, damage of ozone layer, etc. Nowadays, people have been paying more and more attention to sustainable development. Development of air-conditioner is facing a series of challenges, e.g. energy saving and utilization, quality and comfort level of indoor air, introduction of green standards medium, environmental protection, and cost and function of air-conditioner. Research has been focused on high-efficiency, energy-saving, and environmental friendly air-conditioning worldwide. This article discusses the design process of a whole-new green air-conditioner with emphasis on the above issues
