Abstract :
A mobile-GPS system is developed based on GPS, mobile computing, agent and CORBA technologies. In our system, a much more wide range of client devices are supported on GIS/GPS applications. The use of multi-agent and CORBA technologies can implement the distributed GIS, be in favor of overcome bottle-neck of CPU and bandwidth of mobile end devices, offer system flexibility and extensibility both on the server side and client side. The implementation of cooperation, adaptability and transaction reliability of multi-agent and the middleware architecture of CORBA subsystem are described in detail.
