Abstract :
In this paper some simple channel models taking into account the corresponding BER (bit error rate) and FER (frame error rate), for an advanced 3G (WCDMA) receiver, using chip level equalizer and turbo coding, are considered. The conventional RAKE receiver is used as a reference. On the basis of the obtained models parameters, some corresponding FER bounds are evaluated and compared
