Abstract
We investigated a new type of triode structure with bridge shaped gate (bridge gate) for CNT lamp. This triode structure was assembled with the parts, anode, gate, and cathode. Robust CNT emitters, cathode, were formed by resist assisted patterning (RAP) method. Field emission characteristics of triode structure were measured. The measured anode current was almost same cathode current. The negligible leakage current to gate electrode was measured. The luminance was 2,566 cd/m2 and 5,516 cd/m2 when anode voltage was 10 kV and 15kV, respectively. Gate voltage was fixed at about 840 V. And the luminance was increased with increasing anode voltage when cathode current was 5 μA.
