Abstract :
This work uses water hyacinth as the raw material and the methanesulfonic acid as the hydrolytic catalyst to prepare LA (levulinic acid) with microwave heating techniques, and discusses the effects of reaction time, reaction pressure, liquid-solid ratios and methanesulfonic acid concentration on the yield of LA. Experiment results show that the optimal conditions for the preparation are: reaction time 10 minutes, reaction pressure 4 MPa, methanesulfonic acid concentration 4%, liquid-solid ratios 30:1, and the highest yield of LA is 9. 43 wt%.
