Abstract
Hysteresis controllers are very simple and fast schemes for current control in voltage source inverters. Their disadvantage, a much higher switching frequency compared to other PWM methods, can be distinctly reduced by applying space vector based two dimensional hysteresis controllers. Four different control schemes are discussed and compared: the conventional method with three independent phase current controllers and three space vector based controllers operating with a two-dimensional hysteresis control and different switching tables. It is shown that their stationary behavior is only slightly inferior to the one of feedforward PWM methods
