Abstract :
CNT-coated transparent substrates and their applications for field emission devices were reported. The advantage of this approach is that dispersed CNTs are strongly adhered on the transparent glass or polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) plastic while not ruining the transparency of the host platform. Such CNTs coated substrates have revealed effective and uniform field electron emission. In particular, turn-on and threshold applied fields were about 3.8 and 8.4 V/μm, respectively.
