Abstract
Starting from the fact that video coding standard H.264/AVC holds two methods of entropy coding, i.e., context adaptive binary arithmetic coding (CABAC) and context adaptive variable length coding (CAVLC), these two methods are compared in situation when skip mode is used. Experimental work is carried out using simulation software JVT version 90 experimented by fidelity range extensions (FRExt) amandman. Three sequences are used with CIF format (352times288) and 4:2:0 High profile
