  • Abstract
While emerging ultra-wideband wireless technology is widely expected to play an important role in consumer products, its significance to industrial users may be even greater. UWBs role as an enabling technology for high speed data links that can operate in noisy environments, low power wireless sensor and building automation networks, and ground penetrating radar and though wall imaging will almost certainly change industrial users´ perceptions of how wireless technology can be used to meet important business needs. In this presentation, we consider these needs in detail and the possible role of UWB technology in satisfying them.
