Abstract :
This paper realized a broadband LNA with cross-coupled technique to achieve a low noise characteristic. The current steering method and linear-in-dB control technique are employed in the amplifier to provide a wide range and linear-in-dB gain control. The dynamic gain range is about 27 dB with linearity error lower than plusmn0.5 dB. The noise figure of LNA is about 3 dB at the maximum gain of 17 dB. The LNA dissipates 10.8 mA from 3.3 V power supply, which occupies 945 um times 860 um of chip area including bonding pads.
