  • Abstract
TEM cells are the most often used in bioelectromagnetic experiments, EMC investigations and other studies as a source of standard electromagnetic field. Mutual relations of the device are studied and an object investigated in it. The considerations presented were based upon the influence of the conducting walls of the cell upon parameters of the investigated probe. It was shown that the sizes of the probe have to be small enough in relation to cell sizes in order to keep the required accuracy of the calibration. A similar effect appears in the case of any other object investigated with the use of the tool, that was not taken into account. While a probe is being calibrated, the calibration accuracy may be increased by use of appropriate correction factors; the approach is not always possible while a biological object or a device´s susceptibility is investigated in the cell.
