Abstract
Humanization is a dynamic concept with rich content. According to Marlow´s the hierarchy of needs theory, we can generalize the features of humanization designing (HD) into two points: hierarchy theory and individuality theory. This paper takes bicycle as cut-in point to discuss about the humanization in bicycle designing over a period of more than 50 years back to the founding of China. Bicycle experienced a bouncing development in China; in the early period (40 years age), it´s rather slow with a humanization designing at a lower material level; during the recent ten years, its development boomed fast with the humanization designing as the mainstream over one night, showing a colorful individuation feature that highlight humanization of bicycles
