Abstract :
Authors explore pulsed field emission from single-gate metallic field-emitter arrays fabricated by molding triggered by i) nanosecond electrical gate pulse, and by ii) femtosecond infrared laser pulse, for the purpose of synchronizing the gated field emission to the high-acceleration-gradient of the 500 kV pulsed diode gun. Successful operation of the gated field emission under the gradient up to 30 MV/m was demonstrated.
