Abstract :
Considered in this paper are the signal generation features on the basis of the amplitude and frequency variations in the autodyne oscillator under the influence of electromagnetic wave reflected from vibrating reflecting object. Recommendations regarding correct choosing of the operating point are offered. The research carried out allows to develop the set of general points and recommendations for application in the instruments and devices for monitoring and vibration measurement, which include the following. 1. When increasing the reflected radiation level and choosing correct operating point, autodyne sensors provide almost double yield in the dynamic range compared with homodyne sensors. 2. The problems of radio wave monitoring and vibration parameter measurement should be fully solved by autodyne sensors subject to parameters and functionality of autodyne oscillators. 3. It is perspective to use modern autodyne measuring modules implemented on hybrid integrated technology.
