Abstract
This article presents a comparison study on the performance of methods for fault detection and diagnosis in ball bearings. Different kinds of actual faults have been acquired in real time from a test platform and a signal of an incipient fault model been created. The simulation of different processing methods with the modeled signal has been evaluated, the underpinning concept being the implementation of these techniques for actual systems and real-time applications
