  • Abstract
Sodium-doped strontium barium niobate (SBN) ceramics with tetragonal tungsten bronze structure have been prepared by powder metallurgy. The effect of various dopants on the properties of SBN ceramics has been investigated, and relaxor characteristics have been studied. The dielectric loss is very low in all the compositions. Curie temperature increases slightly and the dielectric constant decreases with increasing frequency. The dielectric constant vs. temperature curves indicate a broad maximum, which is characteristic of a diffuse phase transition
