  • Abstract
At the trend in energy saving and emission reduction, we need to expand the effect of EGR technology to further reduce NOx emissions from engines. Now, comparing usually series connection or parallel connection a venturi pipe in the intake pipe, this paper proposes a multi-variable and based on venturi tube structure diesel engine intake pipe system. On the one hand, different permutations of venturi intake pipes to adapt to changing conditions of the diesel engine needs; on the other hand, can maximize the use of venturi pipe in structural features, increase efforts to attract emission gas, expand EGR rates, minimize emissions of diesel engine. According to the experimental data shows, using multi-variable venturi intake pipes, dynamic performance has slight changes, fuel consumption achieves a maximum reduction 2.2%, EGR rate of the maximum increase 24.7%, NOx emission has a more significant decrease, HC emission has little change in overall, CO emission vary with the diesel engine conditions.
