Abstract :
To provide characterisation and fundamental data of hydraulic parameters of gypsum plasters, this paper presents the experimental investigation of gypsum plaster materials in connection with their moisture transport properties Five typical commercially available gypsum plasters have been experimentally investigated. The water vapour permeability of commonly used gypsum plaster materials was determined by standardised experimental procedures. The effects of aggregates, water/plaster ratio have been investigated. Recommendations about material manufacturing and materials selection within the building industry are also proposed.
