  • Abstract
This paper presents an initial work on digital actors involved in virtual environments. We describe how the actor was built searching an humanoid representation through a geometric model. Besides, tools to incorporate texture on the model and techniques used to move the actors extremities are described. Although this developed is based on the work of Pettre et al., we are building a solid platform to give total mobility and realism to both, the actor and the virtual environment where our humanoid works. Preliminary results about kinematic applied to the actor are presented. This work allows us to begin to work on the digital actors area, to analyze and propose techniques to give the actor autonomy to plan into virtual environments (adding motion planning techniques)
