Abstract :
Dr. Igor Zvershkhovskiy was the Director of Orion Research Institute ?? a major establishment in the Soviet military industrial complex ?? and the Chief Designer for Microwave Electronics at the Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine. He was in the forefront of the development of high-vacuum and semiconductor microwave devices for a short-wave section of the cm-wave and in the mm-wave ranges. Dr. Zvershkhovskiy was a winner of the USSR State Prize in Science and Technology and one of the founding fathers of the Crimean Microwave Conference (CriMiCo).
